NDS Signs Two Interactive Gambling Deals
13 Jul 2006

Orbis, an NDS Group company, has developed gambling software called Orbis's OpenBet which is a solution that enables customers to bet on all channels and all products from a single account, all controlled through a single back-office. Orbis which is a provider of interactive gambling software, announced that it has closed a deal with British bookmaker Totesport and will provide the OpenBet interactive gambling platform for the re-launch of its Totesport portal.

Customers using Orbis's technology would enable gambling from a single account, all controlled through a single back-office. Customers can place bets on a variety of products - a sportsbook, on-demand, scheduled and virtual games, P2P exchanges, lotteries or pari-mutuel pools, over almost every channel, including the internet, mobile phones, retail outlets, call centers and interactive digital TV, all from a single log-in. The technology is said to change the entire gambling experience.

The deal was signed with The Tote which is one of the largest bookmakers and gambling enterprises in the UK, operating over 540 shops, and with a significant presence on each of the 59 racecourses in Britain. The Tote enables multi-channel gambling services, including Internet and telephone betting for international sports events and is the only pool betting system on horse racing in Britain. Orbis also announced today that it will be providing privately-owned Australian gambling bookmaker Centrebe with the OpenBet platform.
